Image built on computer from multiple sources which are all combined in verious ways. All the "stars" in this tree come from modified versions of the same image taken from my "Beyound All Limitations" painting.

Like most of my computer images, this one came from multiple sources. The crystals came from one of my old paintings: "Crystal Nebular" and also actual crystals that I scanned. Parts of astronomical photographs were combined and rearrainged to form one massive "Christmas tree" of star-forming material. The stars came from the same source as in the "Tree of Light" image. I provided the mist and most of the colors which I think are a little too rich! I ended up with a rather strange image; an eccentric and over-crowded composition full of too much mystery (if that were possible). My enthusiasm overcame my self-control.

Also maybe a little too mysterious; shrouds of color and mist hang around or seem to radiate from extraterrestrial crystals of massive dimensions. Many years ago, while painting this small image, all my inspiration and thoughts were lost in deep space.
