The Strange Properties of Heaven

I am meditating more hours and concentrating more and more on what the "Light" of heaven would look like. I received a vision of a table upon which a thick book filled with an awesome light of incredible purity and naturalness rested. This clearly symbolizes my life-long search for the "Light" of knowledge fully knowing that "the truth shall make one free."

SOME OF THESE NDE'S SEEM QUITE STRANGE BECAUSE "TRUTH" IS FAR WEIRDER THAN ANYTHING ONE CAN IMAGINE

Author's Feb. 1, 2023 note: I am quite annoyed and disappointed by all the links that keep on disappearing or moving off to some other location making my job much more difficult trying to preserve this website's original message and content.

I have been trying to read all of the near-death experiences at the NDE forum - (link has either moved or expired) but they seem to go on forever. However, from what I have read so far, it has been quite a trip to the "wild side" "outer limits" or "twilight zone" of life! One thing I know for sure: the "twilight zone" that Rod Serling used to narrate does exist! All these strange places, creatures and and beings encountered in this "never-never land" are so fantastic and so real, it is forcing me to once again shift my conceptions of what reality truly must be.

WHAT DOES "HEAVEN" LOOK LIKE?

If you want to get some idea of what some of these heavens would look like, I took a quote from Sarah's NDE at a forum that used be at the website, near-death.com, but no longer seems to be there any more as of 2023.

"I flew along further up the tunnel and glanced in other doorways but the next one that made a lasting impression on me was a world of almost indescribable beauty. I looked upon a beautiful wooded garden with fountains and waterfalls and streams and bridges that glowed and sparkled with iridescent colors. A close depiction of the beauty of this world has been captured by the artist Gilbert Williams whose work I discovered several years after my NDE. A feeling of peace and harmony flowed from this scene and I moved toward the doorway with a great desire to enter. As I began to go through the opening, my "nose" encountered what felt like plastic wrap webbing. I pushed forward but was gently rebuffed and a voice said, "You do not have the information to enter this world".

She makes a reference to the surrealistic artist, Gilbert Williams, who's work I have seen many times before on calendars and greeting cards. For a beautiful web experience, (link has either moved or expired). Astral objects seem to both create and reflect light, giving everywhere a luminescent, vibrant appearance. Another interesting observation: what she encountered when she tried to go through one of the portals into an astral garden - "You do not have the information to enter this world". As if to say that her "computer hard drive" does not yet contain the "program" needed to enter that "vitual" reality!!! (Or is there not enough RAM available?) Seriously though, there seem to be some bewildering restrictions often encountered by those who are on the verge of passing over, yet destined to come back and speak about it.

ARE ALL OUR PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS AND SUFFERING SELF-IMPOSED?

There seems to be some sort of "point of no return" that should never be crossed by those who still have not completed their mission on Earth and need to go back. It seems as if Earth is some sort of "prison camp" upon which we are forced to "do time" in and therefore MUST return in order to complete that "life" sentence or experience whatever lesson or hardship that the soul requires the spirit to experience for its own highest good. If one did go too far past the "point of no return" then any memories from that experience that could interfere with the lesson or mission to be learned or completed would have to be erased from memory! For instance, Betty Jean Eadie in her book, EMBRACED BY THE LIGHT, went much too far beyond that point and therefore had to have some of her experiences of the afterlife erased before returning to the physical body. For instance, she was not allowed to remember any details about her mission to prevent her from being tempted to "complete" her mission too soon rather than with the perfect timing that would most likely occur if she had no idea what it was.

It seems that it is "Gods method of madness" that as we reincarnate, we deliberately (but temporarily) forget all that we know in the afterlife in order to stay limited and vulnerable in the way most needed for spiritual growth. To remember the incredible beauty and greateness of heaven could seriously interfere with the lessons to be learned in that if we all really knew EXACTLY how wonderful heaven is, we would all commit suicide! An not only that, we would simply know too much to be fair game for the limitations we must suffer from in order to grow and develop spiritually.

Vistas of Heaven - Justice in the Afterlife

There is an abundance of information concerning life after death. After over 39 years of personal research and experience in this most exciting subject, I have come to the firm conclusion that there is indeed life after death and that spiritualism and those who have "died" and returned from a near-death experience seem to provide the most reliable, spectacular and detailed information ever on this subject. Life after death experiences should never have been such a controversial subject, but one fully embraced and properly understood by all living human beings. The actual reality behind all paranormal phenomenon is now only beginning to be more fully accepted.

THE APPEARANCE OF THE SUN

Another question I have often pondered is the appearance of the sun verses other sources of light in heaven until I read the following descriptions from Betty Malz's experience: (link has either moved or expired).

"As we walked together I saw no sun - but light was everywhere. Off to the left there were multicolored flowers blooming. Also trees, shrubs. On the right was a low stone wall.

"My emotion was a combination of feelings: youth, serenity, fulfillment, health, awareness, tranquility. I felt I had everything I ever wanted to have. I was everything I had ever intended to be. I was arriving at where I had always dreamed of being.

"The wall to my right was higher now and made of many-colored, multi-tiered stones. A light from the other side of the wall shone through a long row of amber-colored gems several feet above my head. "Topaz," I thought to myself.

Later on ...

"Then I saw the sun coming up over the wall. This surprised me since it was already very light and there seemed to be no passing of time. It was a lovely sunrise. The topaz and other stones glowed brilliantly. I remember noticing that the wall now made a deep shadow on my side.

"Walking down the hill I looked into Terre Haute (her home town on the physical plane) as the worlds of spirit and time and space began to fuse back together. Ahead of me were many church steeples glistening in the morning sun. I was suddenly aware of God's love for all his churches. It was a sudden bit of knowledge, as if I were being told this on the inside by the Holy Spirit. At that moment I loved all his churches too; and as myprejudices dissolved, I loved all his people.

As you can see, heaven can merge into the physical world and the physical sun can be seen/experienced at certain times and conditions in heaven, especialy on the level of heaven that seems closest to Earth, even to the piont at which actual shadows of astral objects can be cast by the physical sun onto an astral ground! Quite remarkable!

DRAMATIC VARIATIONS

There are numerous accounts that the travelers must "commute" over vast distances through massive tunnels before reaching a heavenly abode and/or beautific light. Others, at first, encounter absolute black voids and weird hells, requiring assistence from a higher being (of light) to guide them out into a more pleasent location or brighter state of being! THE APPEARANCE OF JESUS OR THE CHRIST SPIRIT IS SURPRISINGLY COMMON

Another interesting observation: Jesus Christ. The appearance of Jesus is surprisingly common, even with persons of a Jewish faith, athiests, and other non-believers such as skeptics, etc. have not only encountered the Christ spirit but often desperately needed His assistence! When Jesus said, "I am the way and the tuth and the LIGHT" he really MEANT it!

WHAT ABOUT HINDUS, MOSLEMS, BUDDHISTS, ETC.?

What I would really like to see now are the NDE's of other faiths: especially the Hindu and Eastern NDE's because I am in certain ways quite "Hindu" or "Eastern" myself. The few portrayed at (link has either moved or expired) do not seem complete or "satisfying" enough, so I am still hoping to find some more somewhere to get a more unbiased picture of the afterlife, otherwise I could be biased toward thinking that the Christian version of heaven, hell, Jesus and redemption is the most valid one and that the pure message, saving and healing power of Jesus Christ should be taken very seriously. Most of the miraculous healings occured after the NDE's involved Jesus and/or total immersion in God's love and light. I am certain, though, regardless of one's faith, what REALLY MATTERS is how unselfishly loving one is to others and God. What really is important is how PURE one's motives and intentions are and by how honest and unbiased one is in one's search for truth.

JESUS IS JUST AS BUSY AS EVER!

It seems that Jesus is alive and well and is just as active in the "miracle business" as ever! Emanuel Tuwagirairmana's has to be the most incredibly miraculous, bizarre and extreme of all the NDE's I have yet read, because he was said to have been dead for at least seven days! His arm had almost been eaten off by maggots!: (link has either moved or expired) If such is the case, then indeed it would have to have been the work of Jesus, because Emanuel definitely encountered the Christ throughout his remarkably long stay in heaven. As far as the power of the Christ Spirit is concerned, no matter how much one's body has decayed, if your mission is not finished yet, your mission is not finished yet! "GO BACK!" Remember Lazarus?

THE "LAZARUS EFFECT"

Surprizingly often, many people toward the end of their NDE are asked to return to their physical bodies even after being dead for quite some time! It is almost as if all that matters is how important it is for the soul to come back REGARDLESS of how badly damaged the body is especially when Jesus is there to revive and heal it! The amazing thing is the brain usually starts breaking down after only four minutes of oxygen starvation and then is completely and permanently damaged after 15 minutes. But many NDE's have occured after being dead for several hours and as long as a week in the case of Emanuel (if this is true). The longest NDE's are most often associated with a profound and personal experience of the Christ Spirit very often resulting in this "resurrection" miracle similar to the resurrection of Lazarus where the person comes back completely whole, and often even more whole than they where before the trama, sickness of accident that caused their NDE in the first place.

THE LIMITLESS VERSITALITY OF HEAVEN MAY BE CAUSED BY THE VARIOUS BELIEF SYSTEMS OF OTHERS

I am truly amazed by the versitality of heaven when it comes down to all the belief systems creating/influencing what it must be like. Heaven is such a VAST place, that it may never be possible to ever fully understand its incredibly far out and outlandish ways nor to ever fully comprehend its fathomless mysteries! The strangeness of it all!

WHY SOME SOULS UNDERGO "HELLISH" EXPERIENCES

I have also encountered many contradictions about hell and the afterlife. Some have said there is an eternal hell, while others said there isn't. Of course, most of us would rather there not be any such thing, especially such a terrible thing as an eternal damnation. (I've often thought of my life as being sort of an endless "hell" because of the "endless" years and years of anxiety and depression I had to go through.) As if one hasn't suffered enough on Earth! - yet to experience a continuation of suffering in the afterlife seems all too awful and unfair!

Overcome the Fear of Death

Those few brave scientists, doctors and researchers willing to risk their careers and reputation to come up front with the most helpful and detailed explanations ever as to what to expect beyond the death the physical body, are often ridiculed by their contemporaries and put aside. Even worse too many physicians just emphasize that physical life is all there is, and no consciousness can possibly "escape" the confines of the physical brain, and when the physical brain dies, that's it, no more consciousness! In this great and terrible "valley of the shadow of death" I am simply appalled at the universal lack of understanding regarding spiritualism. So little is known about the reality of life after death, it is shocking.

Take a look at an "old English" vision of hell: (unfortunately link no longer works) However, don't forget that John Bunyan was an athiest who attempted suicide around the year 1650, thus the overwhelming tendency to be infuenced by the lower astral manifestations of the religous belief systems of that time and place: 17th century England! More explainations and other links to similar NDE encounters of hell are also given at the top of that web page.

Apparently there are definitely very dark, lower astral realms in the afterlife especially suited for those who have made and continue to make vengence, hate, violence, selfishness, etc. a way of life while not caring in the least bit about God, others, their own soul, etc. Even in Chpter 43 of AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI, "The resurrection of Sri Yukteswar" these realms have been mentioned in the 24th paragraph: shown here.

" 'Among the fallen dark angels expelled from other worlds, friction and war take place with lifetronic bombs or mental mantric vibratory rays. These beings dwell in the gloom-drenched regions of the lower astral cosmos, working out their evil karma.' "

For those who would actively hate God and all that is good and insist on remaining cruel and harmful to others, there is definitely a place for these people! But none of it makes any sense being so evil, that is, unless these beings are so stupid, they don't know any better! The good part about hell is the deterrent factor: helping to prevent criminal or harmful behavior, etc. while inducing a deep respect and appreciation of God and the value of having a saviour such as Jesus Christ. The thing I would like the least, of course, would be the idea that such beings could be stuck there for good, having long since run out of all chances for redemption, growth and eventual return to God.

THE EXTRAORDINARY ACCOUNTS OF DANIEL ELI

One of the most interesting or unusual "NDE" person (unfortunately link no longer works) yet encountered happens to be Daniel Eli discovered through his own NDE's and mystical experiences, etc. that he is actually the original Daniel from the Old Testament now residing in Bose, Idaho. He claims to have been physically wisked into the near future where he actually experiences the unimaginably awesome conversion of all earthly matter into spirit during some kind of "Second Coming" when Earth and heaven is immediately merged together: (unfortunately link no longer works) The terrifying description of this future event is enough to make the "Photon Belt" look like a powder puff!

"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat." 2 Peter 3:10-13.

He claimed to undergo a most powerful and realistic experience of a future event (perhaps around 2012) described as the very collapse of our dimension, when everything will go through a profound shift in the laws of physics, quantum energies and its relation to gravity, even the atoms themselves with their electron orbits expanding. Heaven becomes Earth and Earth dissolves into heaven in an awesome Second Coming of the Lord in the form of an overwhelming energy descending from the north polar region of the sky.

His NDE experience was truly amazing and wonderful, and in fact "humanly incomprehensible" and knew as a result of his NDE that indeed consciousness is much more all knowing and intensly blissful than can be experienced in the physical body. He stated that all one's wisdom, intelligence and consciousness can only exist in a higher dimension and cannot all be contained within the confines of the limited human brain.

WILLIAM BUHLMAN AND POWER OF BELIEF SYSTEMS

The most objective (and hopefully the most liberating) information regarding life after death and astral projection is most likely contained in ADVENTURES BEYOND THE BODY and THE SECRET OF THE SOUL by William Buhlman which can be found here: (Books by Wiliam Buhlman). He and others like him (and not to mention Joseph Murphy!) said it is our belief systems that determine what sort of restrictions and experiences one could encounter during any sort of out of body excursion one might have. Our subconscious mind in conjuction with the subcounscious minds of everyone else may actually be the true foundation of the afterlife.

ALL IN ALL, HEAVEN IS OUTSIDE EVERYTHING WE KNOW ON THIS EARTH

Anyhow, the afterlife is so huge and varied, it seems ANYTHING could be experienced there and nothing short of everyone's wildest dreams or imagination combined. It is an infinitely vast, strange, yet absolutely familiar and wonderfully awesome place indeed.

Because it could be so easy to fake a NDE, or a channeling, etc. we must always be cautious in this area of study. The best way would be to use, develop and learn from our own meditations exactly what is fact verses fiction, and even better yet, to eventually live a life of heaven on Earth: "Thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven."
