I was commissioned to paint a picture of the Greek God, Mercuy, which was a COMPLETE failure/disaster. I painted over that image with this living landscape which I feel communicates the warmth and brilliance of true love.

To create this small, very detailed painting, I used a vacation photo as a guide. It is almost an exact copy of the original photograph prying deep into Arizona's famous Grand Canyon.

This large seascape was an experiment with color, depth and other image effects to give it a "phototelescopic" look. I try to capture the mood of evening sunlight reflecting off water and refracting through spray and mist.

Original painting was sold in 1976. This was one of my earliest commissions, which was created when I was 19. It was for a now deceased (long ago) "old-time mariner" neighbor "ship captain" who had a life-long love for sailboats and sailing ships.

Original painting was sold; image was used for a birthday and a graduation card by Sunrise Pulications in Bloomington, Indiana. An exterior business sign, business cards, etc. for a chiropractic office (Pacific Wellness Center) also were created using this image.
